Orlando and Kissimee area: There is more to do in Orlando and in Kissimee than one could possibly imagine. You don't need to drive into downtown Orlando to see the sights. Some may refer to this area as a tourist trap but what the heck when your on vacation? Lets start with theme parks: Other than Disney World there are other theme parks to visit. One of Disney's biggest competitors is Universal Studio's. Located off I.4 on Universal Blv. is Universal Studio's. To enter you must go to the parking garage which the price to park is now $9.00 and free after 8:00 PM. Once you have parked into the garage take escalators to "City Walk". Welcome to the high life of City Walk!!! This is the entrance of Universal Studio's. Here you can explore some fabulous restaurants such as "Jimmy Buffett's Margarittaville", "Emril's" , "Pastamore" , "Bubba Gump Shrimp" , "Hard Rock Cafe" , "Nascar cafe" , Jimmy Buffett's Lone Palm" , and much more!!!
In City Walk there is many shops as well to choose from along with several night clubs. The night is always alive at City Walk with neon lights and people. "Jimmy Buffett's Lone Palm" is a great place to have a Pina Colada and just relax as you watch the tourist walk by. Note: The airplane there is Jimmy Buffett's plane "The Hemisphere Dancer". This is the actual plane that Jimmy Buffett was flying when Jamaican police fired upon the plane and was trying to shoot Buffett down thinking he was a drug-runner delivering drugs to Jamaica. Jimmy wrote a song about the incident later called "Jamaica Mistaka". This resort has a Polynesian theme to it. The pool is a lagoon style beach. On the weekends they at times show movies on a large screen at the pool called "Pool-side Movie". At this resort they also have a luau with hula dancers and fire dancers. Another near by resort is "Loews Potofino Bay" which is in the style of an Italian village. The ever so famous "Universal Studio's" and the newest of the two is "Islands of Adventure". Even though Universal has just two theme parks they are also tied in with "Sea World" and "Wet and Wild" water park and offers free transportation to both from their resorts. "Universal Studio's" This is the original theme park of Universal. Rides: "Men in Black" , "Jaws" , "Mummy" , NEW "Simpsons" , "Jimmy Neutron" and many others including shows. At Universal you never know what you might see in the streets, possible the Ghost Busters to the Blues Brothers.
Islands of Adventure: This theme park is more thrill rides than it's sister park. Roller Coasters such as "Hulk" and "Dueling Dragons. Adventurous rides such as "Jurassic Park" and "Spiderman".
