This sight is designed to assist planning trips to Disney World and the Orlando Area.
Background: My name is Chris. Years ago I lived in the Orlando area so I know the area well. Every year my wife and I take one to two trips a year to Orlando and to Walt Disney World. My wife, Vonda, and I were married in Orlando on Halloween night. Through the years of visiting the area we have become very knowledgeable on how to plan a trip to Disney World. Traveling : Flying: It is not difficult to find the cheapest flights to Orlando.Simply go to a sight such as www.priceline.com , www.orbitz.com , or www.travelocity.com. There is many other web sights as well on the net that can assist in finding the right flight for you. If at all possible book a non-stop flight. A non-stop flight means less hassles. Less chance of luggage being lost or damaged and not worring about changing flights. Remember, less hassles the more enjoyable your trip will be. Form of Transportation in Orlando: Rental Car:If you have decided to go with a rental car I would suggest to rent one from the airport. Don’t let the companies fool you. They are all the same so why not go with the cheapest there is. I have found the cheapest being “USAVE” rental car. Once you have claimed your luggage look for the courtesy phones next to the luggage claim area. Use the directory there at the phones to call the company (USAVE) that you have reserved a car with and let them know that you have arrived and they will send a bus out to pick you up from the baggage claim area. Keep in mind that you must reserve the car prior to yourtrip. In order to do this you can go to the company’s web sight to book (www.usave.com) or call directly at 1-407-888-3063. Orlando is a large area and it can be confusing on where you are traveling so I would suggest to use a map of the area so you won’t get lost. Be prepared to deal with thick, fast moving traffic as well. Not the ideal driving conditions for an inexperienced driver. Disney Magical Express Bus:If you are staying at a Disney Resort it is easier to allow Disney to provide your transportation for you. Just set back and be catered by Disney!!!When you book your trip with Disney make sure to tell Disney that you need the Disney Magical Express. This is Disney transportation from the airport to the resort at no extra cost. Disney will even pick up your luggage and will deliver it to your resort and room at no extra cost. At the baggage claim center just look for the Disney Magical Express counter and check in. They will check you in and instruct you on where to board your Disney Magical Express bus. The bus will take you to your resort. During your travel time on the bus they will also show a Disney welcome video on the over-head monitors. Once you have arrived at your resort as you depart the bus you may give a customary tip to your driver if you wish however it is solely to your discretion. Once again: Allow Disney to claim your luggage and to deliver it to your room. So much easier!!!
